All our racks are made of solid 3-4mm steel and have an impact resistant and scratch proof finish in RAL 9005 (black). The VT19-1U can hold up to two Danner A1 cassettes (190mm x 40mm) or - with an adatper - four Danner B1 cassettes (95mm x 40mm) in horizontal position. If you want to rack mount more than 2-4 cassettes you should have a look at our VT19-5U frames. All of our VT19-xx racks were scatched and manufactured after the highest claims of quality. The modules sit in one even with the racks frontplate and not just on top of it, which looks rather poor in our opinion.
The "inner cage" of the rack that holds the modules can be custom fitted with the original Tuchelframes taken from old broadcasting consoles. The Tuchelframes hold the Tuchel 23pin (2700) connectors that are used on 90% of the Danner cassettes. Of cause we can also put in other connectors with different sizes (i.e. 12pin for the Neumann V476a preamps).
The Tuchel-connector-frames are also needed as an adapter if you want to put 2x B1 cassettes in an A1 slot.
