This BC30 mixer was manufactured by the broadcasting technology provider BFE for a german radio station. This fully analog mixing desk is not a classic recording console, but it fits very well into the workflow of todays studios. . It is a cut down version of the second BC30 desk that we offer on our website. This console has only one mono channel and eight stereo channels. Otherwise it is identical to the second BC30 mixer offered. Mono channels are equipped with microphone amplifiers that deliver the typical 76dB amplification. Alternatively, you can switch to a line input with 0-22dB gain control. The three-band equalizer with parametric center band can be switched on and off. When turned off it is not in the signal path. The insert switch acts the same way. Since the desk has no sub-groups, the insert-send can be used for multi-track recordings. In addition to the mixbus routing and a hi-quality fader, there are 2 aux-sends per channel. The eleven additional stereo channels also have the insert paths, the aux paths and the EQ. However, in te stereo channels the eq has only two-bands. Together with the two stereo line inputs in the master section, this console has 21 mix inputs. There are 8 + 2 stereo and 1 mono channels. Almost all inputs and outputs are in XLR or jack socket formats on the backpanel. No complex and expensive wiring harnesses or patchbays required. The desk was completely checked and repaired by vintagetools. It has no defects and comes with a one-year warranty on moving parts. The desk with just one microphone channel is suitable for studios that mainly produce electronic music or rap, etc. and only have to record one signal at a time anyway. The free space in the middle is ideal for storing a Querty-keyboard, a MPC, NI machine, etc. But even a bottle of beer looks good on the brown finish. It hides perfect! Analogue broadcast quality, small dimensions and offered at an entry-level price. An absolute bargain!
The Mainz-based company BFE has equipped various radio and television stations from the 1980s until today and also build many of their OB vans loaded with analogue mixing consoles using danner cassette cassette modules. The Filtek / BFE MK3 equalizer and the dynamic modules of the BKE 1 to BKE 4 series are well-known and sought-after units. Although this desk is not equipped with A / B format cassettes, it has a similar structure. High quality rotary switches in the microphone amplifiers and Pikatron audio transmitters in the signal paths. With its compact dimensions of only 115cm width with 36 analog mix inputs, it is a high quality analog mixer from the German broadcasting technology era.
