"Neumann M269c tube microphone from the 1960s. The Neumann M269c was specifically manufactured for German broadcasting, which insisted on a Telefunken AC701k tube for the U67. Today, the M269c, along with the U67, is among the most sought-after and valuable microphones worldwide, alongside Neumann classics U47 and M49, as well as the AKG C12 and Telefunken ELA M 250 or ELA M251.
The microphone has been disassembled, cleaned, and inspected by us. It has been restored with original parts and, including the power supply, is now in very good condition except for the capsule. The KK870 capsule, after professional cleaning, is now in a usable condition. However, it should also be overhauled (reskinned) because during the so-called "Breath Test," where moisture is applied to the capsule by blowing on it, crackling occurs. A new (NOS) AC701 has been installed, and all internal parts have been cleaned. The casing has been polished, and the nickel surface shines like new. Absolutely silky highs and powerful lows. Overhauling the capsule can be commissioned with Mr. Thiersch or Drehfal. However, someone might want to acquire the microphone as is and take care of the capsule themselves.
Included: The microphone comes with the connecting cables, the original Neumann power supply N52a in a VTLB lunchbox, and the original case.
