We are once again offering one of the sought-after STUDER 961 consoles. The console has been tested by our technical team and all detected faults have been repaired. The electrolytic capacitors in the channel strips have been completely replaced by us. The faders all move very smoothly, and the pots also operate without resistance. Visually, the console is in excellent condition. No paint chipping or abrasion marks in the fader area. Delivery as shown in the flight case.
This STUDER 961 console is currently equipped as follows:
10x Mono Mic-Line channels with 3-band equalizer
02x Master sum with limiter and additional HL input (a total of 12 mix inputs)
VU meter bridge with correlator and aux VU – 2-channel
About the STUDER 961 mixing console:
The portable mixing consoles of the STUDER 96x series adopted some design features from the flagship 900 series, but the concept represents an evolution of the 169 and 269 models. Transmission requirements had increased, and "PCM-capability" was the buzzword at the time. To be prepared for the digital world, it was important to achieve the highest possible dynamic range. In revising the amplifier electronics, modern FET transistors were used as switching elements to achieve greater signal-to-noise ratio compared to the 169/269 predecessors. In addition, to avoid hum interference, all insert points were electronically balanced.
A special innovation was the use of new microphone input stages, which combined the advantages of symmetrical transformer inputs with the excellent technical performance of transformerless inputs. The additional units were also improved and expanded. For example, a master module with a limiter/compressor in advanced PDM (pulse duration modulation) technology was now available.
The STUDER 961 / 962 are portable mixing consoles and include, among other things, the following features:
- Input channels with microphone and line inputs with transformers, optionally with "high-level module – stereo module"
- Equalizers for treble and bass
- 2 AUX paths
- Master module with output limiter
- Level metering section with peak level indicators or VU meters
- There is also extensive optional equipment such as consoles, video editing interfaces, flight cases, etc.
