• Description

We are selling a stereo set of the analog classic Klein and Hummel UE 1000 that has just been restored. Due to the many pushbutton switches, the restoration was a real challenge for our technical team, but it was worth it. All switches snap back into place, all bulbs have been changed and are shining again. The ELKOs were exchanged and some soldering points were revised. Now this Sereoset is in top condition again and can reliably do its job in a new home.

The K+H "universal equalizer" UE 1000 was a high-quality analog filter developed in the 1960s. At that time there were hardly any comparable products on the market. The UE 1000 was a groundbreaking device that enabled precise, low-distortion limiting of frequency bands. Unlike other analog filters, the UE 1000 preserved the phase relationship and provided clean sound quality. With its impressive filter slope of 18 dB/octave, it represented an outstanding achievement for the analog technology of the time. Compared to the common 6 dB/octave filters in Japanese or Asian devices, the UE 1000 set new standards in terms of sound purity and precision.
