VT N95 ME | Mastering Equalizer | The Legend is Back… and Better Than Ever!
With the VT N95 ME, Vintagetools is introducing a completely newly developed device for the first time – made from brand-new components, without compromising on quality. The idea of faithfully cloning this equalizer has been around for a long time. However, instead of creating a replica with the same design, but using cheaper components or cutting costs by omitting the expensive transformers – as is often the case – our goal was to develop a no-compromise, high-quality reproduction that preserves the authentic quality of early broadcast technology.
The Challenge:
How can this equalizer be reproduced with the same quality, improved in terms of measurements, and enhanced with useful features – without altering its sound and character – while keeping it at a reasonable price?
After over two years of development, we have the answer:
Vintagetools VT N95 ME – Features
✔ Authentic circuit design – without compromises
✔ Dual-mono concept – perfectly matched channels for ultimate precision
✔ High-quality rotary switches instead of potentiometers – for maximum durability and repeatability
✔ Internal analog power supply with automatic voltage detection
✔ Floating balanced circuitry – equipped with four original Haufe input and output transformers, no cheap replicas
✔ Extended mid-band – additional band with overlapping frequencies using the 1/4-octave principle
✔ Q-switching like the original – via a precise 3-position switch
✔ Expanded frequency selection for high and low bands – instead of three, now offering six selectable frequencies
✔ Authentic gain steps – customizable upon request
Availability refers to the number of complete parts kits in stock. Each unit is built to order, so the delivery time is approximately three weeks from receipt of payment
