Description

This is a Vintagetools VT7xL rack equipped with two of the legendary TAB V76/80 tube preamplifiers. The chassis is built in 19" / 4U format and manufactured to a very high standard. Both modules were professionally serviced and recapped in our workshop.

The rack includes the following extras:

Phantom power module with 230V (optional 120V) input and stable, slowly rising 48V DC output voltage for condenser microphones. The slow rise protects the V76 input transformer.
Gain control or attenuation via an output potentiometer per channel. This allows saturation effects up to tube distortion.
Custom-made mains input transformer for this rack with 234V/120V input voltage (according to customer specification) and stable 220V output voltage. The V7x series devices were originally operated with 220V mains voltage, while today's power grids often supply 235V–239V. Reducing to 220V preserves the tubes and results in lower distortion and the original sound of the unit.
