VT19-1U rack with 2448psu power supply and the following Danner cassettes: Filtek MK3 | Filtek MK3. The rack and the equalizers are finished in the special colour RAL 1015, one of the colours often used in analogue German broadcast technology.
Please note: unlike the product pictures and our regular VT19-1U racks, this unit has no rear-panel printing on the enclosure. The front is printed, and apart from this detail the rack is completely identical to the standard series and the product pictures.
About our VT19-1U racks: We manufacture our racks in small quantities and by hand, following the highest quality standards. A Vintagetools VT19-1U rack is designed for the professional installation of 2x A1 Danner cassettes. Alternatively, it can be fitted with 4x B1 or 1x A1 and 2x B1 cassettes. If you would like to install more than four B1 or two A1 Danner cassettes in one shared rack, we will be happy to offer you a custom solution. The hand-built VT2448psu audio power supply included in our racks is conventionally designed with a transformer made specifically for us. It provides the 24 V DC required by most Danner cassettes, as well as 48 V for phantom power for condenser microphones. All VT19-1U racks are made from thick, plastic-coated steel. They are scratch-resistant and extremely solidly built. Unlike most other rack solutions for Danner cassettes, our racks include a guide rail and the original Tuchel frame for mounting the 23-pin Tuchel 2701 connectors. Thanks to these guide rails, the modules can be inserted and removed without taking off the top cover. More importantly, the recessed installation ensures that the module front panels sit flush with the front panel of the rack. This also makes our racks a perfect visual solution.
The Danner cassette format: Danner cassettes were built in various sizes. In some places, tube modules and Siemens Sitral modules from the 1950s and 1960s are also referred to as Danner cassettes. In our shop, however, we only distinguish between two sizes: A1 (190 mm x 40 mm) and B1 (95 mm x 40 mm). All other formats on our website are NOT Danner cassettes and are therefore not compatible with our VT19-1U rack series.
