Rare Vintage Tube Mono Mixing Console from 1954 – 6-in-1 Channel, Fully Functional, with Original Schematics
Exclusive tube-based mono mixing console from the 1950s – This 6-in-1 mono mixer from 1954 is equipped with high-quality tube technology, UTC transformers, and durable copper rotary switches. Fully functional, including hand-drawn schematics. Perfect for vintage audio enthusiasts and custom tube mixer projects.
This console originated from Belgian broadcasting and, as was common at the time, was built as a special-order unit – similar to the German tube technology of that era, such as V76, V72 and other amplifier modules. This mixing console is a true highlight for collectors, audio enthusiasts, and studio engineers focusing on historical broadcast technology and tube amplification. Tube technology (EF40, 9001, 6AK6), fitted with premium UTC transformers and precise, durable copper rotary switches – components that are rarely available today and known for excellent sonic performance.
Original hand-drawn schematics are included – ideal for service, restoration, and custom modifications. I have an additional identical mixer available and can offer both as a 12.2 set including spare parts. Due to the modular construction, it is possible to build a custom 12-in-2 stereo tube mixing console with minimal effort. Each housing contains the power supply, output stage, loudspeaker, as well as the control section with knobs and VU meter – a ready-to-use 2×6-in-1-channel setup for authentic vintage sound. We are happy to advise you on possible system extensions.
We also have additional high-grade Painton rotary switches and suitable faders from EMI tube consoles, as used in Abbey Road Studios. Combinations with Eckmiller filters (e.g. W86a) and faders or TAB W95c are also possible. Only about 10 to 20 of these exclusive tube mixing consoles were built for the Belgian broadcasting corporation; most have long since been lost. The original schematics date back to 1954 – around the same time when V72/V76 technology was being developed in Germany. The quality of the components used in this console is comparable. The oversized rotary switches with solid copper cores, the tubes, and the UTC transformers are of the highest grade. This complete package is therefore a rare opportunity to acquire a true one-of-a-kind piece and a part of broadcast history.
Serious inquiries welcome. This is a professional device from the golden era of European broadcast manufacturing—a rare gem for collectors, engineers, and vintage audio enthusiasts alike..
